We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement for our farmers and community.

At the prestigious Kombe la Dhahabu 2026 Regional Finals, held on March 27th in Addis Ababa, the finest Fairtrade coffees from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia competed at the highest level after emerging from national selections.

With an impressive score of 88.92, MEACCE secured 2nd place among all Arabica coffees in Africa, just behind Ethiopia’s Layo Teraga (89.33).

Notably, this achievement also positions MEACCE as:
#1 Fairtrade Arabica Coffee in Uganda

This recognition reflects the dedication, skill, and resilience of our farmers, as well as our commitment to producing high-quality, traceable, and sustainable coffee.

The 2026 theme, “Celebrating Origin Excellence: Building Sustainable Supply and Market Ready Coffee,” highlights Africa’s growing influence in the global coffee industry—and MEACCE is proud to be part of that story.

What This Means

  • Continental recognition among Africa’s top specialty coffees
  • Reinforced trust for international buyers and partners
  • Continued empowerment of smallholder farmers in Uganda

We extend our congratulations to all winners across the region for showcasing the richness and diversity of African coffee.

From our farmers to your cup—experience award-winning excellence.
